I do hate the “throw away” society that we live in. It is usually easier (and cheaper) to chuck something out, than it is to repair… (a friend of mine recently got a bargain, when she bought a lamp reduced from £300 to £120, as the fitting was damaged – being told – the British buyer, won’t bother fixing it…).
However, this is NO excuse for the state that my jeans got into (and which I bought about 8 years ago now?!) take a look at that dodgey crotch. Tsk tsk. I think my children were embarrassed to be seen with me and they are only 2yrs and 3.5mths old. But as of today, I have TWO new pairs of jeans. Woohoo.
Being a waste not, want not, the shameful jeans will NOT be binned, but cut into squares to go into my “craft box” – once the kids are older, I am sure a doll or some craft project will benefit.
